How and Why We Started
Strong Tower started as a vision in 2012 and became a reality in 2022. Following its inception, it has offered trauma-informed and holistic programs that enhance human well-being in several dimensions of functioning. Humans can build resilience through optimism by focusing on the five pillars of well-being: emotion, engagement, relationship-building, meaning-making, and accomplishment (Seligman, 2011). Additionally, Using Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of needs, Strong Tower believes everyone is unique and cannot progress without necessities. Thus, strong tower refuge addresses the following conditions: physiological, safety, belonging, self-esteem building, and self-actualization.
