The Aftterschool Program

Launching the Afterschool Program was crucial to closing the achievement gap, given the challenges families and the community encountered following the pandemic. Since the pandemic, schools have decreased time for the creative arts and instead placed great emphasis on standardized testing to the erosion of creative arts. Strong Tower offers a safe, trauma-informed space where children and adolescents can balance learning and play. With innovative therapeutic interventions, these youths will be able to feel safe enough to reduce their guard, allowing flexibility, education, and knowledge retention. With the launch of our Afterschool Program, we hope to serve children and adolescents ages 6 to 17. However, as new programs commence, we plan to expand our services to individuals throughout their lifespan.
